The 12th “Mongolian Memory Championships” competition organized annually by the Mongolian Academy of Intelligence was successfully completed on August 15th – 16th.
In the competition, 120 best athletes from 31 branches of Ulaanbaatar city and the local area competed in 10 disciplines of visual and auditory memory in kid, junior and adult categories. The participation of 12 athletes with international titles (5 International Grand Masters, 5-International Masters, 2 Asian Masters) made the competition very competitive.
The winners of this year’s championship in three age categories are E. Uryintsolmon from Darkhan-Uul province (3812 points) in kid category, “Wreck it Mind” club athlete Ts. Oyun-Erdene (6083 points) in junior category, and in the “adults” category, T. Tenun (8251 points), who is IGM and athlete of Mega Mind Club. And they received trophies.
However, T. Tenun (8251 points), the 2020 and 2021 Mongolian Champion and International Grand Master (8251 points) was selected as the 2022 “State Champion” and won the championship trophy, medal and 1 million MNT cash prize for three years. She opened a new page of history by winning in Mongolian Championships for 3 years continuously.
While receiving the award, she said, “Hello, I’m Tenun. I would like to thank my teachers, family and friends who supported and encouraged me to achieve this success. Even though I was very nervous during the competition, I controlled myself and said “you can do it” and successfully participated in the events and achieved the success I wanted. I would like to say to others, be persistent and achieve what you set your mind to.”
According to the overall results of the competition, 2017 World Champion, Guinness record holder, 2017 and 2018 Mongolian Champion, International Grand Master E. Lhagvadulam (7393 points) was in second place and won 750,000 MNT, and 2019 Adult Asian Champion, International Grand Master B. Lkhagvadorj (6350 points) was in third place and won 500,000 MNT.
